Becoming a Member of the Chaplaincy Team

The Chaplaincy Team is responsible for promoting the love of God to children and young people in a fun, but educational way.   
 
The team helps to support:
  • Assemblies in line with government guidelines for collective worship in both primary and secondary schools 
  • Religious Education (RE) lessons to both primary and secondary schools
  • 6th Form conferencing - the provision of one day conferences on themes such as, Wealth & Poverty, Human Rights, Medical Ethics, for example
  • Churches in establishing after school clubs in the community and give any necessary training and support – there have been a number of successful initiatives which still support the community today in Northampton and in the surrounding villages
If you have a heart for young people and children and you want to share your faith, then this could be for you. 
 
Age is not an issue or a barrier, it is an asset, lack of experience is not a barrier - a number of our volunteers are over sixty years of age, so if you are interested, please get in touch - we will train and support you, so contact us now for more information.
