Becoming a Member of the Interventions Team
|
Lighthouse Social and Emotional Interventions Team provide qualified and experienced staff, including professional support from a qualified Social Worker, to help meet the needs of vulnerable and challenging pupils. We are looking to expand the team to help meet the demand on our services.
The following is a snapshot of a typical term (12 weeks) - the Interventions Team had 38 children and young people referred to them over the course of the term, which totalled 7 groups. All met with a staff member for an initial assessment and all went on to join a group or a one-to-one programme:
The team also conducted 4 self-esteem lessons to 85 Year Five & Six children at a Primary school. There was of course various follow up reviews and evaluations which meant that a total number of 123 children and young people benefited from this support.
Age is not an issue or a barrier. Over the last year or so, we have had 5 senior citizens work as part of the team in various capacities as volunteers to work with Lighthouse - they have all demonstrated that age is not an issue or a barrier, their experience of life it an asset.
We will give all the necessary training and support before and during your stay with us a a member of the Interventions support Team.
