Trustees
 
John Atkin - Senior Management Consultant in F.T.S.E. Company, Methodist Local Preacher and youth and children’s worker with 15 years experience, currently studying for a diploma in Child Evangelism and Nurture and working in primary schools in the west of Northampton for the Chaplaincy team. He is also the Chairman of Trustees for Lighthouse.
 
Victor Ukeagbu - course leader for Drama at the University of Northampton, also a published writer in African, Black British, and Black Diaspora theatres and performances, also on the Editorial Board of National Drama and an associate editor of the international theatre journal, African Performance Review. He is currently a Trustee for Lighthouse Trust.
 
Mark Kinning - works as a computer programmer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a trustee of LighthouseTrust. He not only supports the trust as part of the management team, he is actively involved in some of the projects delivered to children and young people that involve music, dance and drama in primary and secondary schools at various time of the year.
 
Richard Kinning - although having a background in construction and latterly as a Planning Engineer, he has worked in various capacities with children and young people over the last 40 years. He is the trusts director and oversees all the work of Lighthouse, working closely with the trustees and the Interventions Manager to ensure a close working relationship with its teams.
 
Dave Weston - is a trustee of Lighthouse Trust and a church minister at Abington Christian Centre, a church in the heart of the community with a non-denominational emphasis, which reaches out to all ages in practical ways. Dave also supports projects that involve drama throughout the year in primary and secondary schools and community projects.
 
 
Team
 
Cara Thompson - a qualified teacher working part time in a primary school, she works with both the Interventions and Chaplaincy teams in schools and in community projects for Lighthouse. She is also involved with the team responsible for writing up new material for R.E. and for P.S.H.E. lessons.
 
Viv Vass - a team member for several years now and is focusing on the Interventions programme to young people.   She also supports the RE and PSHE teaching, and is involved in the transitions work to Year 6 primary school children. Viv, who has a NVQ Level 3 in Promoting Independence, works with families to enhance parenting skills with a local Family Assessment Centre, is responsible for risk assessment with families and is also commissioned by Social Services. She starts an Open University degree in Social Science in 2009.
 
Tom Nicholson - an Assistant Youth Worker with a large church in Northampton, brings expertise in projects that involve music, dance and drama throughout the year in secondary schools.
 
Avril Gough - an experienced school teacher and church children’s worker, she heads up the puppet theatre and is a member of the Chaplaincy Team, conducting assemblies and teaching both RE and PSHE lessons in primary schools. She is currently studying for a Diploma in Child Evangelism and Nurture and will go on to complete a BA in Children’s and Youth Ministries.
  
Floyd Douglas - presently manages Black Minority Ethnic Resources Service (BMERS) a service that works with children, young people and families from BME communities and supports practitioners and managers, developing partnership and collaborative working primarily within CYPS, but also with colleagues within the children’s workforce in Northamptonshire, which includes strategic, policy and practice development alongside the creation of learning and development programmes. He works with Lighthouse in a consultancy capacity bringing advice and support to the Interventions work.
 
Judith Weston - has 10 years experience working in Child Protection, an MA in Social Work and a BA in Early Childhood Studies, Introduction to Psychodynamic Counselling. She supports the trust in a consulting capacity bringing expertise to the intervention support.
 
Laura Weston - a church youth leader, she completed a ‘Year Out’ with the trust in 2007/08 and continues to be a team member with the Interventions and Chaplaincy teams whilst studying at the University of Northampton for a Childhood and Youth degree - she is focusing on working with teenagers this year both in secondary schools and in community projects.
 
Martin Hall - a Director & Principal Consultant for an Australian based international electronics design and IT Company, designing a wide range of digital electronics for both commercial and military use for clients in the UK, USA and Australia. He has worked with the Interventions team and has sponsored a gap year student to work with Lighthouse Trust.
